Ukraine Strikes Russian Refineries, Affects Oil Supply

Ukraine's military targeted two major Russian oil refineries on Thursday, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Bashkortostan and the Slavneft-Yanos refinery in Yaroslavl, which produces around 15 million tons of crude oil annually, were struck. Following the attacks, a fire broke out at the Slavneft-Yanos facility, where falling debris from destroyed drones hit storage tanks. The Yaroslavl region reported 93 drones were neutralized with no casualties, but four individuals were injured. This action could impact oil supply and revenues, critical to Russia's ongoing military efforts.
