BYD and GM: 20% Chinese Parts in U.S. Cars Amid Trade Tensions

Approximately 20% of parts in General Motors (GM) Chevrolet models, including the electric Blazer and Equinox, are sourced from China. Additionally, 15% of parts in Toyota's new Prius plug-in hybrid are from Chinese suppliers. Over 60 U.S.-based auto suppliers are owned by Chinese companies, which complicates efforts to limit Chinese access to the U.S. auto market.
