Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Near Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii
A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck near Honaunau-Napoopoo on Hawaii's Big Island. The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 23 km (14 miles) and was widely felt on the islands of Hawaii, Maui, and Oahu. The USGS is assessing the Kilauea volcano, which has been erupting episodically since December 23, 2024.
