Ipswich Town Opens New Club Shop in Ipswich Centre

Ipswich Town football club has opened a new retail shop called Planet Blue in the Buttermarket shopping centre in Ipswich. The shop opened on a Friday, with club captain Dara O'Shea officially cutting the ribbon. This new store is an addition to the existing shop located at the Portman Road stadium. The opening of the new shop coincided with the general release of the club's black and gold third kit. The club states the shop demonstrates its commitment to fans and the Ipswich community by being located centrally in the town. The presence of the new store in a prominent shopping area is seen as enhancing the club's visibility and accessibility beyond matchdays at the stadium. For ordinary fans and local residents, the new shop provides easier access to club merchandise. This may help increase merchandise sales and improve fan engagement by making the club’s products more readily available at a central location in the town.
