ADTRAN (ADTN) Launches Quantum-Safe Optical Transport for AI Security

ADTRAN Holdings, Inc. (ADTN) announced the launch of its quantum-safe private connectivity service, Quantum Shield, on May 27, which utilizes its optical transport technology. This service aims to secure data movement between European data centers, addressing the growing demand for reliable connectivity in AI workloads. During its first-quarter 2026 report on May 4, ADTRAN reported revenue of $286.1 million, reflecting a year-over-year increase of 15.5%. The infrastructure supporting this service is based on ADTRAN's FSP 3000 optical platform, enhancing data protection with NIST-aligned post-quantum cryptography.
