Nissan (7201) Raises FY25 Outlook to Y50bn Profit After Loss
Nissan Motor (7201) revised its FY25 earnings outlook, now forecasting an operating profit of Y50bn ($313.5m), up from a Y60bn loss prediction. This update is attributed to adjustments in US emissions regulations, effective cost-cutting measures, and favorable foreign exchange conditions. Projected net revenue increased to Y12tn from Y11.9tn, while expected net loss decreased to Y550bn from Y650bn. Despite a 5% revenue drop in Q3 to Y2.99tn and a 44% decline in operating profit to Y17.5bn, Nissan maintains that automotive free cash flow will turn positive later in the financial year.
