70% of Workers Confident in Skills Amid Economic Uncertainty
A recent study by SHRM found that approximately 70% of workers are confident their skills will remain valuable for roles at different organizations despite economic challenges. The Global Employee Monitor survey, conducted with 10,789 workers across 26 countries, revealed that over 80% of U.S. workers believe they can adapt effectively to changing work conditions. While nearly 70% of U.S. workers prefer to stay at their current jobs, 40% have actively searched for new opportunities in the past year. This insight indicates that workers are proactive in improving their skills to navigate a fluctuating job market.
