Uber (UBER) Launches 15 Robotaxis in London for Consumers

Uber (UBER) has launched 15 robotaxis in London, marking the UK's first self-driving minicab service. Each vehicle is equipped with a human safety driver to intervene when necessary. A survey conducted by Uber indicated that more than 100,000 London-based customers would choose a self-driving taxi if available. The service allows fare comparisons with standard Uber rides and will be phased in over several years to offer both human and autonomous vehicle options to consumers.
