Revolut Secures Colombian Banking Licence, Seeks Swiss Approval

Revolut has received authorization from Colombia's Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC) to operate as a regulated bank. The company has also filed for a banking license in Switzerland with FINMA. In its 2025 annual report, Revolut reported revenue of $6 billion, a 46% increase from the previous year, and pre-tax profit of $2.3 billion. The company plans to invest over SFr150 million ($183.2 million) in Switzerland over the next five years. This expansion allows Revolut (not publicly traded) to broaden its customer base and banking services, which may enhance its overall market position.
