Hyundai (HMG) to Acquire Boston Dynamics for $325M Stake

Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) plans to acquire SoftBank Group's remaining stake in Boston Dynamics for approximately $325 million, which represents a 9.9% holding in the robotics firm. This acquisition follows SoftBank's decision to exercise its put option. HMG aims to enhance its robotics capabilities and deepen collaboration with Boston Dynamics as part of its long-term strategy. The deal will support HMG's goals in AI-driven robotics technology and smart factory initiatives, including the deployment of the Atlas humanoid robot at HMG Metaplant America starting from 2028.
