EasyJet (EZJ) agrees to £5.7bn takeover by Apollo

EasyJet has reached an agreement for a £5.7 billion takeover by US firm Apollo. This deal follows the withdrawal of rival bidder Castlelake. Under the takeover, EasyJet shareholders will receive £7.15 per share. Apollo, which supports EasyJet's existing strategy, plans to ensure that the majority of ownership remains with EU-based shareholders.
