Anthropic Joins UK FCA’s AI Sandbox Testing Programme in 2026

Anthropic will work with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Supercharged Sandbox, allowing 21 organizations to test AI in a controlled environment. This second intake includes participants like Scottish Widows and TrueLayer, with a 51% increase in applications from the first intake. Participants will access Anthropic's Claude, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork to innovate under defined safeguards. This initiative supports responsible AI adoption and aims to enhance financial services, impacting ordinary investors by indicating a growing interest in AI solutions within regulated environments.
