Anthropic (ANTH) Disables Fable 5, Mythos 5 Models Due to Directive

Anthropic (ANTH) announced it disabled access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 AI models following a U.S. government export control directive issued at 5:21 p.m. ET. The directive, citing national security concerns, requires suspension of access by any foreign national. The company had just recently launched these models, which were highlighted for their advanced capabilities in cybersecurity. Although this action impacts these two models, Anthropic stated that its other models will remain unaffected.
