Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Sees 1.6x iOS User Switch Rate

Samsung Electronics Co. introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8, with a global iOS user switch rate of 1.6 times compared to the previous Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7. In the U.S., 30% of Galaxy Z Flip8 buyers switched from other brands, many purchasing foldable phones for the first time. Samsung currently has a projected 32% share of the global foldable smartphone market, while Apple is expected to capture 25% as it enters the market. This competition may impact market positioning and sales of both Samsung (SSNLF) and Apple (AAPL).
