The study indicates that a peak seizure burden of at least 90% correlates with a 3.4 times higher likelihood of death or severe disability at discharge. Additionally, every hour of AI-detected seizure activity nearly doubles the odds of severe outcomes, with an adjusted odds ratio of 1.98. These findings highlight the importance of continuous monitoring for improved clinical decisions and potential earlier interventions for patients with severe neurological conditions.
